The Last Dance (June 29, 2018) in the Resorter

On June 29,  2018, The Music Box Historical Society held the “Last Dance” at the Houghton Lake Playhouse. The Houghton Lake Resorter wrote up a great article about the Last Dance, the memories, and included many photos. A bit late, but still important, here is a link to the July 5, 2018 Resorter article so you can read and remember.

‘Gone, but never forgotten’ Memories shared at the last Music Box reunion

There is also a PDF of the article that may print if you want a copy.

The Conversations!

There were lengthy conversations on the Music Box fan page on Facebook. I’ve copied and turned into a PDF for those who aren’t on Facebook. Feel free to comment on this post and I will add your comments to the Facebook Music Box page.I’m not sure if the youtube links will work or not. There is just so much that can be done to share without the Facebook sgtructure.

Monument to the Music Box – Dedication Planned

The Music Box Historical Society has BIG NEWS!!

Planning is on schedule for the official dedication of a monument/historic marker on the site of The Music Box for this summer! This is being coordinated with the PIrate’s Cove miniature golf course which now owns the property.

The Music Box Historical Society has raised funds for this marker for the past several years. We are looking forward to a special dedication ceremony, tentatively planned for sometime around the 4th of July.

Follow us on Facebook, and on our “sister” FB sites: The Enchanted Music Box and Music Box – Houghton Lake, MI for the complete details announcements. Or sign up on the HOME page to receive emails.

Everyone is invited to join in for the dedication ceremony and, who knows…maybe we’ll also be able to dance once again in the open air on the site of the Music Box!
